THE 1996 INAUGURAL
Premier’s Award for Excellence
Winner Education Department of Western Australia
The winner of the inaugural Premiers Award for Excellence was Gwynne Park Primary School. Gwynne Park was also selected as the winner of the Service Design and Delivery category of the Premier’s Awards for Public Sector Management.
Gwynne Park adds the Premier’s Award to a list of prestigious state and national awards acknowledging the school’s outstanding achievements in customer service.
And, most importantly, the plan is a catalyst for action. For example:
When low self-esteem was identified through surveys as a major problem, a program called Sports Challenge – known throughout Western Australia for its success as an esteem builder – was engaged by the school to successfully intervene with the target groups.
