NUS High School, Leaders of Tomorrow

Sports Challenge finished off its Singapore March 2009 program with a bang in delivering a leadership program for the first time ever to the students at NUS High School of Mathematics and Science.

Sports Challenge finished off its Singapore March 2009 program with a bang in delivering a leadership program for the first time ever to the students at NUS High School of Mathematics and Science.  The incredible leadership abilities of these student leaders set the bar high right from the start of the 1-day program.  The mentors, Sydney Nusbaum, Ryan Harding, Sophie Rist, and Justin Tarpey, enjoyed challenging and engaging the students throughout the program, who consistently showed a keen enthusiasm and eagerness to learn. The diverse range of backgrounds and experience among the students also had a positive impact on the outcome of the program, as visible in the team challenges.
In addition to the indoor and outdoor activities conducted during the day, the students also completed Emotional Intelligence (EQ) testing, examining the areas of Empathy, Social Relationships, and Perception.
Ms Emilia Wong was instrumental in the flawless organisation of the program, as well as providing Sports Challenge with an ideal environment for teaching.  Both the mentors and students thoroughly enjoyed the program, and look forward to returning in the near future.
