A ‘world-first’ initiative by Sports Challenge Australia has been implemented with the wonderful support of ALCOA in providing 12 state of the art ACER Tablets for an interactive leadership program in WA.
Under the stewardship of Deanna Smith, the Sports Challenge Programs coordinator and the company JH Computer Services who provided the tablets at cost, a two-way interactive leadership program has been developed using the new ‘cloud’ technology.
For the first time the excited Year 6 and 7 students of Guildford Primary School in Australia’s oldest operating school in Perth have been having access to Australian Sporting legends via the cloud, uploading their values and behaviours to be a successful leader and having (24×7) access to the Sports Challenge mentors for support.
As Deanna explained “this pilot program is embracing the way of the future. The interactive technology will allow Sports Challenge to deliver the best information and knowledge available in a highly motivated medium. It will allow these students to make informed choices in their lives. Thank you ALCOA for your generous support.”
